Let's dive deeper into the captivating world of Trat Oud oils. Trat, located on the eastern side of Thailand, bordering Cambodia, is renowned for producing some of the most sought-after ouds in the industry. It's no wonder that oud lovers often speak of Trat with great admiration and excitement!

At Oxford Ouds, we have something truly special to offer. Our unique oil stands out in its own remarkable way. Unlike other oud oils that can be animalic, woody, or even heavy on the smoky side, our distillation process ensures a distinct and fresh scent that captures the essence of the wood's top notes. We intentionally kept the soak process to a minimum, around 12 hours, to preserve the vibrant and enticing qualities of the wood. This way, we were able to avoid any animalic or barn-like notes and focus on bringing out the best in the oil.

When you first experience it, the oil opens up with a beautiful floral bouquet that dances delicately with hints of fruits, including the delightful aroma of dried figs. As you the oil settles in, subtle vanilla notes begin to emerge, adding a touch of sweetness and warmth to the oil. However, it's the gradual emergence of the enchanting honey yard fruits notes (peach, pear) that truly sets this oil apart. In the background you will also get light resinous tones reminiscent of benzoin

This oil, with its versatile and captivating aroma, is truly a gem that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Making it an ideal choice for those who are new to oud or those who simply appreciate oud that is both inviting and refined.
